Question sub amp on factory head unit???

where do i install high level/low level converter for rca cables in my gs 300 ('04). currently have it connected to existing sub leads but believe this to be wrong. doesnt sound right, at all! Also , cant seem to find a good remote turn on in th e passenger side kick panel. Please help...

has no one hooked up an amp to the stock radio?????? Should I not be doing this????

You may have it out of phase. Try switching the wires around on the converter (pos & neg) to make sure you are in phase. You will hear the difference. If that doesnt work than it could be a tunning issue or the converter is just junk. On your turn on wire you are better off on the dr side. Your best bet is to just run it up to the radio of the acc wire since your close already. Knowing more as far as the converter type, amp, and settings makes it a little easier to help and what does it sound like.
