The Optimas are not a direct-replacement.

To make them fit, remember to get the short standoff (new optimas come with this elevator trays that snap on to the bottom). With that in place battery height will still be 3/16" or so short. To get a tight fit you may have to purchase shorter hold-downs.

The next problem will be with the terminal leads. On the Optima the posts are further away from the corner of the battery. One can force fit.

okay so RED is for every day driving, what about power is it enough,
and YELLOW is for additional equiptment in the car,

so wouldnt yellow be a better buy, if it is for every day driving, and stereos too.

red has higher cranking amps and is used for everyday apps
yellows are usually added as secondary batteries in the trunk for audio systems
blues are for marine use - boats..

ahh, i see, so RED is better,
so then RED it is, is there any specific RED or all the same

red are all the same...... and HOEBAG is right red is for everyday they have high CA mines is scratched off its in the 900 somethings and the CCA is 800

I use an Optima Red-Top and it performs flawlessly. If I had more audio stuff
I would probably use a Yellow-Top Optima.

thanks, ill go look at them then, costco had a deal for the red one it was 99.00 the model 15, but im not sure if that is the one,
