Default new battery needed

okay i know the best battery is the optima, but which one is better for the GS, i know there is like Yellow top, green top, red top, and i dunno if there is any more, but which one is good for this application.
or are there any better batteries.

I'm sponsored by Optima and the one their people tell me to use is Yellow top. especially if you have lots of audio products in the car.

Its application specific so you need to tell them about your car.

Yup!!! Optima is what I ride with.....I have the blue top though....I would do either Yellow or Blue top....I wouldn't do Red though....THe good thing is that they are dry cell so no worries....

when
i go to www.optimabatteries.com they don't list any application for GS400 or GS430?

I have a custom Phoenix Gold battery... hahaha j/k

I also have the yellow top... painted of course! best battery IMO..

Another vote for the optima yellow top..I have had mine for almost 3 yrs and still going strong..I like the fact that they are sealed..No acid leakage..

What are the cranking and cold cranking amps for yellow top to buy for a GS430?

yellow top are for stereo stuff i have the red top for general use high cranking amps and 3 year free replacement no questions asked

Is the red top sufficent for a stock GS430. They do have alot of electrical stuff. Who knows what the actual cca and ca's are on a red?

yes the CA is 9?? [i looked at mine and its scratched off] and the CCA is 800

The red top is typically used for regular use and the yellow is considered an upgrade because unlike regular batteries you can drain and recharge over and over again due to the abuse of stereos, ect.. and it won't kill the battery as quickly as a regular battery would..The fact that it's sealed is a plus if you plan on adding a battery in the trunk.No acid leakage..
