Okay, I thought I fixed my H/U's "muting of sound" by locating, unplugging, taping up the mobile phone wiring, but my H/U is back to no good. I even tried locating a diagram of the wiring of which I thought I was cutting the "MUTE" wire, but it wasn't what the diagram said and I taped it back. I'm out of all options.

Anyway, would this be all I need to have a successful aftermarket H/U install and still using my factory amp to power all the speakers:

1. Double DIN Kit
2. Amplifier Integration Harness

Would I need to add this 20-Pin Premium Radio Plug as well or do I need to rewire the whole car (I hope not!)?

I've talked with a few people via PM and have been told it's not THAT hard to hardwire the H/U either.

Just in case, I've got a 1998 GS400 with Nakamichi. Do we have the 20-PIN or 16-PIN in the Nakamichi system?

I'm looking to get something like this KENWOOD HEADUNIT.

All I want to do is switch out the H/U and leave everything else the same (I know I'm gonna lose the CD Changer, which is fine).

the 98 nakamichi cant use the toyota only amplifier integration kit or the 2002 or up 20 pin conncctor. it has 4 plugs on the back of it and is unlike any pioneer system gs car so advice from pioneer sysatem owners would be useless. there is a 6 and 10 pin speaker adapters similar to toyota but the power all comes from an 8 pin connctor .
