Need help on what to do
Hey guys,
I'm new to the electronics stuff especially sound systems and so on. Now, assuming the worse, my cd changer has gone kaputz.... few threads down i think, so anyways, in a way i see this as an opportunity to do a whole system. What i have in mind is a motorized lcd screen that plays mp3, cdr, cdrw, dvd, mpeg, or mpg. But the problem is i don't know what companies are out there that makes a great product that satisfies those needs. Also, i'd hope it be navi compatible so i be able to upgrade to that later on. Now onto the speakers, etc etc, my car is a 95 SC4, so i'm also clueless as to what i have, all i kno is there is a factory 10 inch sub on the rear deck. any ideas on what would be the best parts for i guess the front tweeters? , speakers front, speakers rear, and a free air sub replacement? or possibly two? i saw a guy put in two in the stock space by enlarging the holes. i'm reallie just looking for a system that can add some boom but nothing crazy, i guess 3-5 times better than my stock system would suffice, more boom that is.
ps. think it's possible to have this done? i take the stock faceplate, have it motorized so when i hit the power button on the stock console, the faceplate slides down into the half din available all the while it turns on the new HU also? and vice versa, when i shut it off, hte faceplate moves back up... so it all looks completely stock.
