laser signal from cluster?

Default laser signal from cluster?
i have a 98 GS3 and i just hard-wired a valentine1 to my car.. i was just messing around with the detector and pointing it in all different directions. whenever i faced it towards the cluster(speedo), it popped up laser with full signals.. just something im curious about.

i got it directly from Valentine1.com for $399 plus $39 for the concealed display.
