Default will this hurt my amp?

i have a 2 channel RF amp. it is 4 ohm stable bridged. i currently have a 4 ohm load from my 10" woofer. my brother just gave me a 12 RF sub in a box. both the 10 and the 12 are 4ohm single voice coil speakers. if i wired these to make an 8ohm load would it harm the amp if it were bridged? thank you.

read the specs on the amp manual. it will tell you safe specs for operation.

If the amp is 4ohms stable, don't go below 4 ohms on your subwoofer setup or you might hurt your amplifier badly. Anything above 4 ohm is safe. The higher the resistance on the speakers, the less power they get => the quieter they will play.
