Crazy expensive, yes, but still, ime/imo, not up to Dynaudio standards. The speakers are made by Scan Speak for Alpines F#1 project.

Cody,

Peter Lufrano carries these (dynaudio speakers) and should be able to get you a good price on them. Just do a search on his name...forgot his web site. Would recommend the 2 way for simplicitys sake, but the 3 way would sound incredible if you have kick pods and good locations for the components. I stuck with the 2 way since I wanted a "stealth" install.

Between JL Audio and Zapco, I'd more than likely take the Zapco. Haven't seen the JL. BUT, would like to have a head to head comparo between the Zapco, the JL and my modded McIntosh units. Should be interesting. Have you considered TruTech amps?

I agree, a/d/s makes the best car audio speakers I've ever heard. They aren't called "reference" speakers for nothing!

look at the sig BA is top notch stuff, i use to say if you had lots of money go with the CDT euros, but then BA came out with their Z series. no one can tell you which is best though unless you actually hear the speakers next to each other. People like different sounds.

I use Dynaudio and they are outstanding. Boston Acoustics also have excellent speakers. I'd give both of those a listen before buying any.

Dynaudio, Scanspeak, Vifa, Seas, Morel and Focal (new Be series topped any midrange I have ever heared). Then again, I am talking about higher lines of these speaker manufacturers.

Old post, but I gotta give a holla.

A/D/S/

Their amps are outstanding. Their speakers are outstanding too.

I own A/D/S/ home audio systems (L810 - 3 pairs) but now I'm looking to find some A/D/S/ car speakers and amps to make my car an A/D/S/ car.

Yeah, I have a/d/s at home too, L980, great speakers, walnut cabinets and metal grilles, I bought them in 1985, they're still going like new, I WON'T sell them, you'd have to pry them out of my cold dead hands. Also have an a/d/s PQ10 4-ch amp in my '88 Supra, the thing has been cycled on/off thousands of times, absolutely bulletproof. Beware, a/d/s/ was bought by Directed Electronics a few years back, along with Orion and PPI. Their quality MAY be suffering, but I honestly haven't seen or heard their stuff lately.
