i cannot find any openings to run the wires from the passenger area to the trunk. All the wires are hooked up to the head unit / battery. Do you have to take the rear seats off? My friend doesnt know how to take them off, so if you have to do that can you please tell me how.


The LS isnt mine, im just finding out for my friend.

I've seen some threads that explain this- you can easily find them by using the search function.

Then you'll see posts (pictures, too) by other LS owners who popped off the rear seat to easily run wiring to the trunk.

im not new to message boards. i did search before posting but could not find anything that helped me. maybe someone can point me to the right direction(not a link to the search function, thank you i know where its at).

Since you know where the search function is, try it again on just the LS400 forum for the words "remove rear seat".

I ran my power cables from the battery, down through the engine bay, underneath the car, and then pulled them into the cabin through a grommet near the driver's seat of the car. I then took out the back seats and a bit of the trim inside to run the cable under the carpet, behind the seat, and into the trunk.
