I was wondering what 8 inch sub should I get too replace in my stock es3. I just want something around $50-60 that sounds good. Also what ohm and voice coil type should I buy, thanks.

I would imagine lexus have used a free air design for the standard sub which is a problem, as most subs these days are designed for enclosure use, and it is very hard to get a free air sub sounding good. Also the standard sub would be rather efficient therefore not requiring much power to run, if you want to look at getting a box built i'd reccomend a resonant engineering RE8. A small aftermarket amp would be ideal to run it also.

What did you do with the sub cover/3rd brakelight?
I had to raise the sub a good half-inch to clear the gas tank so now the cover doesn't really fit, and even if I get it on there it rattles like crazy.
Right now I have it off.
What'd you guys do?
