Default Free Air Sub?

Does anyone know if the sub in the GS300 is free air or sealed box? If its sealed, any measurements? I'd like to keep the trunk clear, but want more bass and a seperate amp.

I believe that if you open the trunk and look up under the top of the trunk (where the trunk lid hinges are) you will see the exposed back side of the package shelf mounted sub. So, yes it is a free air sub or IB as some people refer to it. You have several options that still keep the trunk accessible. One solution I have seen is to build an enclosure that fits into the same general location as the OEM sub. The enclosure bolts up to the underside of the rear package shelf and is relatively inconspicuous in that location. Would only interfere with the largest packages you might consider putting in the trunk that would reach all the way from the floor to the trunk lid and were so deep they extended under the package shelf as well.
