I am looking at upgrading (adding) my security system. What would you recommend? I am hesitant to go with an aftermarket company as I do not want to loose my factory remote, but they offer the best security and the most features. I also know there is a company that makes an alarm that is an upgrade of the factory system. Is it enough protection? I am also hesitant to buy this alarm because I would like to increase the remotes range.

What would you suggest? If you are suggesting an aftermarket alarm, which one would you suggest and why?

Main features wanted:
Remote Start
Window feature (maintain factory setting at a minimum)

if you want to go with an alarm without losing your lexus keys then go with the LMW set up.. they have remote start up and a sense-o-shock deal that gives the lex an added sense of protection. i myself was looking into this and im having a clifford matrix rsx 3.5 [top of the line clifford matrix] installed as we speak at al and eds. they gave me a chevy "classic" whatever that is- to compensate. CANT WAIT TO GET MY CAR BACK@!!!!!

I recomend the clifford g5, I am going to get it soon. it is the ultimate in security because you can add a bunch of accesories to it, some accesories even help you protect your rims. and as you and i know that is a big investment. here is the site it shows you all the accesories you can add to the g5. http://www.clifford.com/g5/access/default.asp

I ended up going with the Clifford Matrix 3.5...it's supposed to be their best alarm. So far, the install is a work in progress. There are still many little issues they need to fix before I will be happy with the alarm.
