Question After Bodyshop work, Sub doesnt kick as hard

Okay guys need some help here, I picked up my LS (Pioneer system) from the body shop last week, there the rear deck/trunk/rearend was completely stripped to the metal, and put back together. Now my bass does not sound as good as it used too, the sub will start (farting) when i put the bass up (passed 2 o'clock on the ****) , instead of kicking hard as it used to on the same tracks.

What should I check? I looked at the sub visually and I can’t see what’s wrong. Thanks for your help.

can you pull the sub out to check to see if it is blown?

most probably it is not seated correctly or installed back in position.
and could very well be blown as well. so you'll have to take off the grill and visually inspect.

Pulled out the grill, and the Sub looks fine. I also suspect that it was not installed properly, but I dont know how to check.

I would do that, but i need to take off a whole lot of parts to take out the sub. So im going to try other ways before i tear down my interior.

what year lex are you referring to ? in the first gen models all you need to do is pop the grill on top of the woofer and you can take the woofer out.
perhaps yours is located differently.
keep us posted.

It sounds like most of my Bass is coming from the two from mids, not the Rear Sub like it used too.

I don’t see any visible damage to the actual sub, can it be damaged where i cant see?

Let me know so the body shop can fix it since they guarantee their work.

They just dont kick like they used too

Well, after tapping on my sub wires (did this more then once, and nothing happened) well, something changed this time, and the sound fidelity is now back to the old days, with good bass.

Thanks anyhow.
