What about the Helix W12 sub?
I am setting up an SQ focussed system that hopefully will be good enough to compete in SQ comps so this is a fairly important question to me.
I don't know much about those speakers other than they are German and supposed to be very high-end.

What I have heard that I like? Good question! I have not had a chance to listen to any speakers yet. First doing my research on what is good out there for placing well in an SQ competition. I also know that a good quality speaker set does not guarantee that an audio system will win an SQ competition. Install and tuning can make or break the system.

Ahhh, so you're looking to compete. Well then in that case installation, positioning, and equalization are going to play a big role. DLS and especially Focal can be found being used on the circuit, but I cannot say that I have heard much about Brax/Helix speakers as much as their amps. They do look interesting, but quite pricey probably more so than the Focal and DLS speakers you mentioned.
If I may make some suggestions, I have heard very good things about SEAS Lotus, and I know that SEAS is a very respectable Norwegian speaker company. I think their most expensive set is still less than $1000. Check over on Elite Car Audio for reviews. There are quite a few guys there that compete and may be of more help.
