97+ ES sound system
i have the stock nakamichi sound system that came with the car, the rear sub is blown ( i dont know how-- ) but i want to change/upgrade the system in the car itself....i plan on keeping the nakamichi deck/cd changer for now, i was lookin at replacing the 8" sub in the rear with an Audibahn 8" sub...i saw it on there site and its not bad but will it fit???
Another option was finding a company that makes a 8" mid-range speaker, replacing it with that, and adding one or two twelves in the trunk. I know these are big differences in sound but the audiobahn 8" doesnt sound like a bad idea and 350w RMS is very very good for its size...also with that i'd probably opt for an aftermarket amp to get its full potential. I know if I cant find a decent enough 8" mid-range sub, i will probably just leave the space open and do the 12's in an enclosed box in the trunk.
I like the idea of the replacement sub, but being that the sub will be sort of free-air will i get a good enough "bass drop" ???
Also the nakamichi amp is on the front passenger floor rite???
