Hey guys... I recently installed an Eclipse CD5444 into my 94 SC3. Anyway, when I installed it and fired everything up... the CD player works and everything. However, once the radio or CD is on @ anytime it has a high whine sound (sounds like a supercharger.) And everything is back to normal when i turn the head unit off.
My suspect is that the ground wire is weak.... my question is what do you suggest?
Should I just rewire the system? or just upgrade the amp and speakers? It's obviously going to be cheaper to rewire but I just wanted anybody's input on the situation, thank you for your time!

That's called alternator whine, and altering the ground points is one of the more common fixes. if you don't get much help here after a search (https://www.clublexus.com/forums/sea...searchid=65834), there's plenty of discussion on this at www.sounddomain.com.

hey man, thanks for the reply!
anyway, yea, i changed the ground point to another location (near the E-Brake) and it still had the whine... do you suggest a point where i should mount it? or any other suggestions?
