The Navi system in my 2005 doesn't seem to mute the radio when it issues voice prompts.

I saw some older messages on this but you'd think it would be fixed by now.

Does anyone know a workaround?

 

Even my 2001 gs430 (2001-2005 models are all the same) also doesn't mute, and the voice, even at max volume, is too weak.

My 1998 was perfect. . .driver's channel would mute greatly, deliver the command, and then go back to the music. . .even with all the windows down I could hear it. With my 2001, I often do not hear the prompt at all (and miss the turn.)
