Anyone have the Sirius Starbase unit yet?

The installer of the StarBase unit thinks it may be AudioVox, because of the similar parts between my old AudioVox and my new StarBase.

Jerry.
The Display unit has what looks like a Joy Stick. The side arrows takes you from one Section to another. The up and down arrows takes you from one Channel to another. The center button takes you to the selected highlighted Channel.

Well, I finally got to see the Sirius Starbase in person last night @ Circuit City. Not bad, but not what I expected from the pics. Just goes to show you that you really have to see stuff in person before you buy.
I found it to be much smaller than I expected, very small buttons, and the screen is indented, which is my biggest problem. I have my controller mounted in the former ashtray position, on a flat panel, with the ashtray unit completely removed. If you mount it in the ashtray, it will basically be facing you and you can see it. In my rig, I wouldn't be able to see it AT ALL, because of the screen recess and the small screen size. If you look at it from an angle, especially from the top, you don't have to be far off and you can't see the channel name and number anymore. Couple that with the lack of a jog ****, and even though everything else might be great about it, it's getting a thumbs down from me. Also, while I think the blue screen has a high cool factor, I don't think it's as visible as amber or some of the others. I'm going to wait for someone else to come out with another new controller design, hopefully Alpine one of these days.
Of course, if you mount it so that it's directly facing you, none of this is a big deal. (I don't mean to diss anyone that already has it.)

Starbase working great in an RX300 '99
Replaced my old Panasonic with the starbase. Installed the control panel on the lower right hand side of the instrument cluster. This unit is perfectly sized to allow full view of the indicator lights below the tach, whil still allowing me to see the display through the steering wheel.
Custom painted the silver panel biege to match the interior. What can I say, I love this thing! Email me if you'd like photos @ us011057@mindspring.com.
The radio's out in the rear near the antenna. I made the RF modulator connection at the power antenna.
