I searched and found a lot of post regarding cell phone, but I couldn't quite find what I was looking for, so here is my question:
My car came with prewire cell phone system, I understand that I have to buy a new kit since it wont work with new phones, what I need to know is that any handset free kit is available that could use the buttons and the MIC on the steering wheel? also uses the existing speakers instead of of adding another small one?

If you have searched, you may have seen my posts. I have looked all over and have not found anything that would allow using the steering wheel mounted phone command module and mic on my 00 LS. I bought an adaptor cable from a U.K. company but found that it would work only on a 98-00 LS with standard or Nav audio system - not with my Nakamichi - to power a Nokia kit and play the call through the door speakers.
The best I could do was to attach the phone kits mute wire to the phone prewiring in the car - fairly easy once I finally figured out how. I found one mute point in a connector under the center console (the one I used) and a second one in the trunk in one of the connectors that plug into the phone unit. Also under the center console was an antenna coax which could be activated by connecting two coax cables on the right side of the trunk -- allows using the built-in phone antenna on my 00 LS.
