XM radio etc add on
Is there anyway to put in a XM radio in the car without having to use a FM mod on it? I see lextasy.com has the navigation thing that lets other inputs and outputs and whatever. but can you get the same quality like out of your Cd's atleast through that or right now you are stuck and no XM for you? I have NAV and not getting rid of that and don't want to use that system because people here said it leaves your screen with black stuff on the sides.

fm mod is the only way,,,,,,,,the fact radio has no auxillary input and no other way of adapting a direct plug in audio acc,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,fm mod or change your deck are your only options

I currently have SIrius playing through tape deck adapter (FM modded sux *****)
and plays great but you get tape deck hissing
my friend has a fool proof method of hardwiring it to my factory HU navi screen and says I won't lose a damn thing
after he installs, it i'll be sure to do a write up

I had the Delphi XM system in my 98 GS400 that uses the Cassette Player. My stereo is the stock Pioneer one but I can tell you that my Delphi XM system provided me with much better sound quality than CDs played through the OEM system.

I have the SIRIUS starbase installed in my ash tray. I have it hardwired and yes in a way its still FM mod, but atleast its not cometing with the FM signals. It completely shuts off the FM signals when I turn the SIRIUS unit on. Still wish there was an Aux input, but its time for the 3rd Gen GS in a few months anyways.
