Is there a way to tell from the VIN wether I have the ML audio system? My stock system sounds very good to me but my navi head unit does not indicate ML. When I had the dealer pull the history it shows that the radio assembly was replaced on 10/28/04. The car's production date is 7/1/00.

Either way, I just want to be sure.

If I'm not mistaken, there is a Mark Levinson logo on the front panel of the headunit.

Yes, but with the dealer doing some work on the radio tuner assembly, I just want to make sure. I will try to get a copy of that invoice

If it doesn't say ML then you dont have a ML system.

Look in the trunk at the subwoofer, it should say ML also.

Oh well. Looks like I have the "Lexus Premium Sound" system. It sounds fine to me - much better seperation than the bose in my old max. Also, it was never advertised ML so I have no comlaints.
