Question free air vs. enclosed subs?

How do free air subs compare to Enclosed Subs? They can obviously take up alot less space but how do they compare in sound quality?

with an enclosed sub, you are able to feed the sub more power which means it gets louder. An enclosed sub also has better low bass i.e. big ported box. In general, although not with all, a sub in a spec built box is better all around tighter sound, cleaner when louder and many options of making it sound right.
