these cars dont like aftermarket headunits....

when i fist bought my car it had a flip out tv that would make all the lights dim when you would use any elctrical components, that player broke and so i put back in the stock deck, after putting the stock deck in there was no more electrical drain when the lights, brakes, etc. were pushed.

after installing a new pioneer cd player the lights would not dim for a couple months but as of yesterday the light dimming problem has come back. Its beggining to get really annoying.

i had a shop install the deck and when i got the car back there was a small amount of engine noise coming through the speakers but it wasnt that bad but now the noise has gotten very loud and thats when the lightts started to dim again.

if anyone had a ideas or solutions that would be greatly appreciated.

Are you also using an aftermarket amp?

I'm definitely no expert, but it sounds to me like you need either a new battery or possibly should look into a higher-output alternator.

Could also have some grounding issues with the HU that may be causing the noise issue and contributing to the problem
