Default Repair Lights in Head Unit or ????

I have a Nakamichi unit in my 95 SC4. ONLY the AM and FM button lights are not working, all other lights in my AC Control, Head Unit and Dash work fine - but the lack of these two buttons illuminating drives me crazy. My car has only 72K miles on it.

Has anyone had these lights repaired at a dealership or other shop? If so, can anyone share an approximate cost of repair? I have seen tons of threads on the backlighting issues, but do not need information on that - just the two buttons. I've seen all kinds of deals out there on e-b and others where you could replace the HU for anywhere from 100-200 for the Nak, and was wondering if it may be cheaper to buy another unit than take mine in to get fixed.

Any thoughts from the experts?

(I do NOT want to go aftermarket, btw.)

What HE said. OLT can possibly either repair or upgrade. You'd need to send the headunit to him.

I think that there are a few threads on here that detail where to look online to order new bulbs, but if your headunit is similar in design to the Pioneer in my 98 ES, this repair will require some soldering. Good luck to you, though!
