Hey guys I cant find the sound forum so admins
. Any way I want to replace my sub, I know I need to know where do I hook up the sub wire to the new amp, do I splice after the signal goes through the stock amp or before? If i splice into it after or basically take the wire going to my sub now and put it in the new amp can I just get a sub thats 400 watt over the new amps output just to be safe?. All I want is more base thats it nothing fancy.

This is what I did and how I did it. I didn't have this link at the time, but it's how I did it. I have the same sub and a 65x2 watt amp bridged. It's all the bass I need and then some.
BTW, it was very simple even for someone with no skills like me...but, I cheated and had my mechanic run the power leads for me for $20.

One more question macc, did you just simply hook up the wires from your old sub to your new amp and then run it to your new sub or did you tap into the subwoofer line somewhere before that? And can you tell me what amp you matched with that sub?
