I searched but couldn't find the answer. When I bought my car a few weeks ago, the guy said it had a CD stuck in it... but he wasnt sure if it was the changer causing it to get stuck or not. He did say that it was the same cd that got stuck two times. I gave it to a friend of mine who got it out in a matter of seconds... it ended up not only being a burnt CD with a label sticking up, but somehow it was wider than any burnt CD we've seen. So, we figured it was the CD.

We hooked up the CD changer, and had the same problem as always. The CD changer button on the dash itself is not lit up, which probably signifies that there is no CD in the changer? Well I put a CD in the magazine, hooked everything up, and just get an orange light on the CD changer... no response to buttons on the dash, and it does not seem to show any signs of being alive other than that orange light...

Any ideas? Thanks!

Are you sure the cd is wider? I don't think it would fit into the tray if it were wider. Anything that fits snugly in the tray should be the correct size...now I know there might be an issue with burned cds but I've never experienced any with mine.

Yep, the CD was definately significantly bigger than any other burnt CD I compared it to. So, I'm not sure if it somehow messed up the changer or not. I'm not sure why the dash light wont light up... or what the orange light on the CD changer even means.
