Hey,
Im looking at buying th Pioneer D1 and Im wondering if I will be able to use my stock CD changer with it.
One installer said no, and another said yes... anyone have experience with it or the Pioneer N1 or N2?

if your changer was made by pioneer you could have converted it. but the sc changer was made by matsu****a( panasonic) so no way to use it.

Not for my SC, but for the 98 GS400

oh sure i have converted going on 15 98 up gs changers to be compatible with pioneer headunits. its not a necessity on the double din d1 because you can play a cd without removing the mad dvd. but on avic n1 and n2 and all single din pioneer navigation systems you have to remove the map to play a cd so keeping the 6 disc cd changeer is the way to go. it requires you to send the changer to me for conversion. i am backed up on them right now however.
