thanks for the positive feedback guys, thats awesome. to answer a few questions, yes it plays dvds while the cars moving, i have a bunch of those dvd/music videos (they sell them everywhere on ebay or your local store off of anybodys broadway for $5 lol) and i play them all the time... as far as the dash kit goes, be patient with me buddy im gonna find that part bag in a few and give you the exact part number so you dont have to keep searchin lol.... and i think someone asked about the other speakers in the car...heres the whole set up as far as i can remember parts off the top of my head:
-eclipse avn2454
-XM unit in ashtray
-ADS speakers in all four doors (ads tweeters mounted in stock tweeter locations on doors)
-2 eclipse aluminum 12 inch subs
-eclipse #84230 1100w 2 channel sub amp
-eclipse (cant remember # right now) 4x100w for interior speakers
-additional eclipse cd changer in trunk
-MonsterCap/All MonsterCable wiring
-whistler 360 degree radar, front and rear bumper mounted sensors/rear view mirror mounted laser sensor/stealth mounted display. (you can see the display to the left of the headunit under my steering wheel if you look close in one of those pics i think)
if i didnt answer somebodys question yelp at me and ill try and respond soon.

Mike,
Very nice setup
Couple of questions for you:
How did you connect the XM? Did you use the RCA A/V inputs from the head unit or is there some sort of integration (I've never looked into that feature but will want to put Sirius on mine at end of year). Do you access any XM controls through the head unit or all through the XM unit?
Have you had any issues with noise or whining from yours? I had to send back my first 2454 because the low voltage outputs and ghosting (fixed on this year's version) .
Why did you choose to put the Elipse changer in the trunk instead of in the glovebox? Did you get a different model than I did (see pic below)?

Freakin beautiful. I'm such a sucker for an Eclipse 2din
Hopefully in the near future I will be able to upgrade to the AVN5435. Is your model the one with the internal HD? I can't remember off the top of my head.

alright buddy. the basement hunting has paid off. your part number for the exact dash kit installed in my car is: BKLXSK1315. this part is made by BEST KITS. do some searching around online and you will be able to find a place that you can order it from. good luck!
