Some problems with installing D1 in my GS
Hey, Im hoping I can get some guidance or info about what Ive done wrong and how to remedy my problems and maybe just some feedback too.
This past friday I finally installed a Pioneer D1 with a the IB-100 ipod connector and some cheap DVD in the glove compartment of my 1998 Lexus GS400 (with Nakamichi).
The installer told me that he used a harness for a toyota 4runner (i forgot the name of the company that makes the harness but its one of the biggest companies that doe that) in order to get the headunit to control the digital amp.
Im having problems with many different sounds coming out of all the speakers. The mid speakers have lows and highs coming out of them and my sub has mids and some vocals coming out of it. It seems like the system isnt sending the proper sounds through to the proper speakers. Any idea as to what went wrong and how to remedy it?
I love the D1 but I hate the freakin gyro thing that you cant input directions while driving. Is there a way to get around the gyro so that I can input addresses while driving?
The ipod connector didnt have as much functionality as I would have liked... Im used to browsing by artist, then album, then song... it seems that you go from artist right to song but theres no list of songs, you just have to keep scrolling through the songs one by one. Any feedback on that?
Thanks for any help that I can get on this!!
