Question Replace factory sub amp with aftermarket amp LS400

i'm replacing the factory sub amp located in the trunk in a 93 LS400 with an aftermarket amp. i found all connections such that i am hooking up the new amp with low level inputs since the stock headunit feeds a low level input into the sub amp. my question is, what is the frequency response of the low level signal going to the sub amp? i'm wondering would i need to add a low pass filter now that i'm using an aftermarket amp.

GSquicksilver,

The signal that feeds your stock amp is a full-range. Use an amp with an internal gain control and adjustable low-pass crossover--an easy option that works well.
