I have a GS 430 with the premium sound system and at this time I would just like to do a speaker upgrade. I don't know what power the Pioneer unit puts out but I need some recommendations that would work with the stock headunit without an external amp. I assume just about anything out there will sound better than the stock paper speakers, but what are some popular inexpensive good neutral sounding speaker replacements? Also what sizes would I use?
Thanks,

Check out SoundDomain.com. They have some good info there, including a vehicle fitting guide with recommendations for the Lexus. They have some really good prices on car audio stuff.

Napolean,
JL's, PPI and Phoenix Gold, are NOT the best at anything. They're more of a mainstream brand with a lot of hype attached to them.
GSman,
Try looking at http://www.theautophile.com for more info on real speakers. I'd recommend the ads, Diamond HEX or Focal lineup but for the ultimate in neutrality (and I do mean ultimate), go for nothing less than Dynaudio speakers. You'll pay alot but they're worth every penny. From your request, you sound more like a sound quality rather than a sound quantity person.
