How to populate phone book?
I have a bluetooth phone LG 325. It works great with the navigator and hands free in our RX330 2005. But when I want to populate the address book I have encountered some problems. Actually I have not been able to add a single phone number.
It says in the manual that I should transfer phone data from the phone via bluetooth. However my phone does not have that functionality. I have tried with my bluetooth enabled Palm Tungsten but the car would not accept that one as a bluetooth component. I have also tried to manually enter numbers. Not even that seems to work. I have one possible way left and that is to see if I can connect with my laptop but since the Palm was not accepted I assume this will be the same thing.
Have any of you resolved this manually? How?
PeO.

I have the same issue with my '05 GX470. I have the Sprint LG PM-325 and from everything I've tried and read, you can't transfer the phone book. And since the Lexus system won't let you enter the numbers, you're hosed. I can't wait until I get my customer satisfaction survey from Lexus...although I love so much about my car, the fact that you can't manually enter phone book entries is just absurd. And you take all that time to program your one-touch entries and they grey-out when you're driving!! How stupid is that.

bluetooth phone number additions to speedial.
My dealer arranged for a bluetooth specialist to transfer the phonebook from my Motorola Razr phone to the auto internal phonebook by first transferring the phonebook listings to a phone that was fully compatible with the lexus system and then automatically loading the data into the car memory..
I next transferred key phone numbers to the speedial section. So far so good. I then wanted to add additional phone numbers manually to the car phonebook and then to the speedial but no matter what I did; registering the number and name etc. when I went to look for the name in the phonebook it wasn't there. The trick was to assign the new names to a group different from the " no group" listing under which the original phone numbers were transferred. I was then able to add the new name to the speedial screens by going to the new group and selecting the name and number..
No idea why the system was designed that way but the method worked.
