Default iPod support still missing

Lexus is not listed on this page: http://www.apple.com/ipodnano/ipodyourcar/

Someone at Scion is paying attention, but the rest of Toyota seems to be missing this whole iPod 'fad'.

I was going to get the IPOD adapter for the Pioneer AVIC-D1, but I've heard from multiple people that the interface is absolutely terrible A 6.5" screen and you only get one line of display.

For now I got AM/FM, XM radio, DVD w/ Music Videos in the glove box, and IPOD w/. Monster Wireless FM transmitter in the armrest. Too many options.

yeah i ran my 60gb photo via the aux input on my alpine but got tired of the fact i had to keep charging the unit. So with this adapter my problem is solved, i still get CD quality audio like i used to, but now the unit always charges for me and i have full control from the CD deck. Im not someone who really needs graphics and things like that but really enjoy being able to search by playlist, artist, song, genre.

i like it alot especially for the $99 price.

Hi All... I would like to use my 60 G photo in my 03 SC430's armrest (there is a 12v outlet there) but would like some feedback on the FM transmitter versus cassette adapter !! (Or any other suggestions would be welcome.... )

monster cable FM transmitter gives you better frequency response and also charges the unit through a cig lighter. Go with that.

3rdelement & Isoldout, thanks for your help !! I will go with the the VAIS unit, that supports a dedicated iPOD and an AUX for XM radio !!! $380 is kinda steep, but looks like these are the only guys that support Toyota/Lexus as of now !!! Thanks for the LINK...Will do a full writup on it ASAP !!

I called Vaistech for the unit, but they are back ordered !!! I think The Lexus dealers are installing this unit now as an accessory cause my local dealer in Long Island NY, installs a unit for $695 for iPOD control !!! ..Anyway I had to use my iPOD, so for now, I bought the TRANSPOD from DLO ($99.00)....It cradles/mounts the unit in my armrest, no wire or mess and suprisingly the sound is decently good especially if you use any of the upper FREQ's like 106 +++> I will still install the Vais unit as soon as they get it in !!!
