Smile LS430 bluetooth phone & computer

We're in the market for a new bluetooth cell phone to use in our '05 LS430. We already have a bluetooth capable Acer 312 tablet computer that we will want to use while on the road.

From what I've read so far, looks like Sony T610, Motorola Razr and Treo 650 are candidates.
Are all of these compatible with the "hands free Profile" required for the bluetooth to work?

Anyone already using the Acer or other computers with their cells? Does having the computer reduce/eliminate the phonebook upload problems with other phones?

Also, does having the computer eliminate the problem of not being able to dial the number while on the move using the touch screen?

Appreciate any and all input.

Ken

I'm not seeing the whole picture here, I don't see what you need the Bluetooth link to the computer for, except for occasional sync to Outlook, and that shouldn't be more than one or two times a day. Are you actually trying to get internet service for the computer via the phone? That would be a bad idea for a number of reasons, if you ask me.
I have a Treo 650 - the thing is awesome. Works just fine wih Bluetooth hands-free headsets, if you're looking to call hands-free in the car. I have the Motorola 850 headset.

I think the problem with my previous post is that I didn't realize that the '05 Lex-i have Bluetooth.

Thanks for the reply. So I understand that the Treo works well and from other posts, I see that you can do a complete phone book transfer using the Treo. That's a definite plus. Do you still have to dial the number from the phone or can you use the Nav system while in motion?

Do I need to go via the phone to access the web with the computer, or since the computer is bluetooth as well, can I go direct to the web without the phone?

Thanks for the assist.

Default Are you there?

It's been 4 days since I posted my follow up questions--do you have any answers?

Thanks
