Default Output Level specs on CD changer.

Does any one know the electrical specs on line-out from CD changer [95 SC400 12 disc in trunk]?
What I am looking for is somehting like 1vp-p driving 2.2K .. [I can live with spec from + to - 2vp-p]

Why?
I am building a interface module to feed-in signal from an i-pod.

Till now I have the relays to switch signals.
Power supply to create +/-9v
circuit to convert single ended drive to double ended drive (sig-gnd to sig+, sig-, gnd)
Determine Gain for ipod-line out level to cd-out level {this is a two part question 1) Level out of cd changer ...posted here...2) What is the electrical spec on ipod ... if any one knows the specs on ipod-line out it would be great}
**Pot based setting of gain can not be done easily with single to double ended drive.
Cables + charger for ipod [to be purchased]
installation.

Wish me luck.
