Calling ALL ES300 (97-01) Audio Gurus ASAP!!!!!!!
It all started with a nice deal I got on a Kenwood system last week now its beginning to turn into a complete audio project for my 99 ES300 Coach ED. So I've been looking around and gathering the opinions of a couple installers and have come up with a decent setup around a few options. From experience, what do you guys think about this setup and is there anything else I should know about the pieces I'm buying or are in my possession before it all goes in? I'm open to constructive criticism!
Here goes (I know I'll eventually have to get a changer since the factory doesn't work with aftermarket right? If so what's a good replacement one to go in the same space in the glove box as OEM?)
Here's what I have/working on so far
1. Kenwood KVT-910DVD Touchscreen headunit (Already in my possession along with the MEtra dash kit and wire harness)
2. Kenwood KNA-DV2100 Navi (On the way)
3. HIfonics TX4405 4 channel AMP(will purchase in <30 days)
4. Hifonics Amp for sub (400w RMS x 1 channel 4ohms) (In my possession)
4. Polk Audio DB6750 6 3/4" in the front doors("" "")
5. Polk Audio DB650 6 1/2 inch Coaxial Speakers for Rear Doors (Debating whether to get these or do components for the rear as well and mount the tweeters back there also)
6. Cerwin Vega 10" Vega 104 Sub (Already in my possession) to replace the 8" free air (I don't want to do a bass box in the trunk, I want it to be clean install so I'm debating to do this as free air sub like stock OR get a 10" Basslink Infiniti speaker????
Is this enough to build a decent aftermarket setup or do I need anything else?
Thanks in advance
Mike
And one more thing, I'm a moderate installer/creative person in which I can do the speakers for sure. I was contemplating doing the radio myself along with the NAvi. How hard/long a job do you anticipate it would be if I tackled those things for the first time if I had like wiring diagrams/install guides and/or all the tools (ex standard screw driver set plus wire crimps/ connectors/ electric tape or solder etc)

Here's another thing, I just found out that I can just toss in an 8 in speaker which would make things look pretty stock back there plus I can still have the space of my trunk which is what I really want anyway. SO I came across a few alternatives and am wondering what you guys think of these options.
For the sub, I can do
8" JL Audio 8W14 (100W RMS) free air sub in the rear deck
or maybe even the Infinity REFERENCE 840W (200 W RMS with possibility of adding an amp to drive that)
I'm new to the speaker modding thing as far as picking good components goes for this car and searched but didn't really find what could be a few good choices to go in that stock hole for the deck. Any ideas? Thanks again
