Got a setup here, want thoughts and opinions from the experts.
Its not in a lexus, it is in my ZX-2. but heres my setup:
-JL Audio 10W2v2.4 10" Subwoofer.
-Elemental Designs slot-ported Enclosure.
-Kenwood KRC-7072 Amplifier
-Kenwood KDC-1028 HU
-Apline SPS-170A Type S Co-ax 6.5's in front
-Alpine SPS-570A Type S Co-ax 5x7's in rear
Is there any other mods i can do as far as sound quality or am i as far as i can go, i mean it sounds great, but can i add tweeters without getting into custom work? and my HU will be a possible upgrade in the near future, because the HU i have is pretty much just a basic deck. Its nice enough to do for now. But i am open to any thoughts and suggestions.

I would say your weakness are the speakers and headunit.
If you're looking for sound quality, the Type-S speakers aren't that great. Look into a set of components for the front and leave the rears out, or keep the current rears.
Next is the deck. Get a deck that has at least some sort of processing power. Most decks, like alpine and pioneer, has built in equalizers for fine tuning. It also helps to find a deck that has time alignment. It makes a world of a difference when your speakers are in stock locations.

In addition to what Gsteg mentioned,
I'm not sure if that kenwood amp is a 5 channel or just a sub amp, adding a amp for your mids/highs will make a big difference in s/q.

Pretty weak? thats not what i was looking for. i like it as it is, but there is always room for improvement.. Im looking for all around quality of sound, i dont need or want an obnoxious super bass monster.
And quit doggin my ford please. the car has nothing to do with it. if you must know, i would have put a similar setup in my lexus. funds arent unlimited either.
Be that as it may, the amp is a 2 channel.
What i was basically asking is, am i done, or is there more to it? I realize the deck is a weak link, the HU is going to go away, its just a get-me-by right now since it was cheap.

what i ment was, to really get nice sound, start with a good head unit. something with 5 volt preouts and a good EQ. 5-6 channel amp (or 2 amps 1 mono and a 4 channel). components in the fornt and back ( or just mids in the rear).

Try Dynaudio speakers components. They'll blow away lots of other brands out there. Pricey, but well worth it. That changeout in itself will sound QUITE nice.
What are you system goals? For SQ, you can change out the amp, change the sub to possibly a W7 or better...list goes on. If you want ultimate SQ, Alpine F#1 Status (new one) seems to be the only game in town for the extreme high end.

My system goals are, i want the best sound quality i can get, i dont want to spend $300 on one subwoofer so the W7 is out of the question. i need to retain cargo sace and driveability. i dont want too much bass.
the alpines are not amlified, the ampis powering ONLY the sub. the speakers are connected directly to the deck.
and dynaudios, i will look at those. any other suggestions fellas?

would I be correct in assuming that you mean a 10W3v2 instead of a 10W2v2? If you're just going to run the speakers off of the HU, then your setup should be just fine. It doesn't sound like you're going for competition or anything like that. Just that you want a little better sound in your car as opposed to the stock set up.
