I've heard alot of great things about the ML system, so I've been patiently waiting for the perfect combo to come my way(Nav/ML/low miles/Great price). I'm not in that much of a hurry, and I have seen a few, but not very many. Question is this, is it worth waiting for a car that comes with it? How much of a difference is there between the ML system and the stock system(Lexus Premium Sound)? There are 10x as many cars without the ML system, and I was starting to think about not waiting for it...

Thoughts?

I haven't had an opportunity to audition the ML system yet, but I read some really good reviews in car stereo magazines.

yes I would wait. I posted a while back in the GS fourm asking those guys how they like theirs and I got all good reviews. So I'm going to wait untill next year and get the new IS with nav, ML and HID's.

IS ML system...haven't listened to.
GS ML system...could be much better than all the hype.
LS430 ML system...OUTSTANDING!!!

The difference between the GS and LS audio ML systems are so far apart it's not even funny.

Personally, I wouldn't wait for it, unless you're really after the ML tag. The sound was barely acceptable and I got out of the test car in about 15 minutes, completely disgusted with the sound. The only ML car that I would rate very very highly would be the LS430. Put it this way...my NON ML (pioneer) system with Dynaudio speakers blows the ML equipped GS away in terms of sound QUALITY. It's not even funny. Comes to about 90 percent of the LS430 system.

Then there's the argument of "gee...you're spending more on the speakers than you are for the ML option." Before getting into that argument, I'd suggest listening to the ML system and asking yourself if the option is worth it.
