I plan on putting a Pioneer AVIC-D1 in my car this week. My only problem is that I can't find a double din dash kit available for the ES. I searched on ebay and found a single din unit from metra and a double din unit designed for the 1998-2004 GS. Can the GS double din fit in my car? I looked at pics of both of the cars' head units and they look similar in size and shape. If it can't fit I'll have to check with an audio shop to see how much a custom install costs.

search for custom face plates in the es300 forum and this forum. Most likely that gs wont fit without some modification. and at that point you are better off mounting the double din and creating a customer face.

also FYI....Krylong makes a Satin BLACK Flat finish...it matches our dashes perfectly.

Krylon is what happens when youve been working to much and not paying attention how you are spelling common words.

Krylon is referring to the spray paint that you can pick up anywhere like wal-mart or home depot.
