Red face High output alternator

I have some JL Audio amps installed in my GS300 (300/4 and 500/1). Even with a 2.4 Farad capacitor installed and engine running one or both of the amps cut out as the system voltage drops below 11 volts. With the stereo off the cap reads 13.7 volts. Does anyone know where I might shop for a high output alternator to fit this car? Also any other ideas how I can resolve this quirk are appreciated.

wow you paid $650?... i only paid $365 for mines. He didn't ask for a core charge or anything. I'm thinking it was a universal Toyota alternator, either way it fit in perfectly fine in the stock location, no problems watsoever.

Check around your area and see if you can find a alternator rebuild shop. Ask them if they can rebuild your current alternator to pump out more juice. Around here in Houston, its like $150-$225 for an alternator rewind. I personally have an Iraggi 220amp unit, but if I had to do it agian I would definately go with Ohio generators.
