I'm trying to hook up a simple led switch to a LED stick. it's connected in series. when the led is on, the neon isn't. when the neon is on, the LED goes out. Any ideas, anyone? the switch has 3 post. when i use the 2 outer post the led is on. when I use the middle and post closest to the power source, the led comes on.

Anyone know if it's a voltage drop between the LED and the neon causing the problem.
