Using the nav touchscreen with a Car PC?
Just curious if anyone has managed to adapt the nav touchscreens in Lexus vehicles to operate as I/O devices for a Car PC project. I'm playing with the idea of wiring a KVM-type switch into the car, but was wondering if I'm heading into virgin territory here (which I assume I am, to some extent, since the 2006 IS hasn't been around long enough for anyone to really figure out the differences in the 5G nav), or if this kind of thing has been done with any regularity in previous Lexus nav models.

there may be one way to do it, someone more knowledgeable with carputers help me out here.
Would installing this product from vaistech do the job?
AVIC-100 Audio/Video Auxiliary Input Adapter
http://www.vaistech.com/home.html
The audio should be no problem I would assume. The question is, would the connections that a carputer needs for video output be compatible with this vaistech unit? Can anyone with Carputer experience answer this one? (btw that product is not out yet, supposed to be out summer 06)
