Is it worth it to get the ML system standard in your car or is it a better value to do an after market install of equally good components.

That all depends. If you're going for the LS430 ML system, then you really don't have to worry too much about aftermarket...fairly good sound from the dealer. Have you listened to the one in the ES first? What did you think? Decide from there.
