Alpine 7897 + Delphi RoadyXT: What next?
I have an XM Ready Alpine head unit and just bought the Delphi RoadyXT and Home Kit for Wifey (Merry Christmas). When I want to add it to the GS do I need to mount the actuall Roady XT unit or just the antenna and a Subscription ID? I don't want any clutter on the dash and would prefer to just mount the RoadyXT in the glove (where the cd changer used to be) if I need it at all.
Thanks in advance.

I did a little more homework last night. This head unit is designed specifically to control an XM reciever. The manual to my head unit reads:
"With an XM Receiver connected to the Ai-NET input of the CDA-7897, the XM Receiver will be controllable from the CDA-7897.....
Press the Band button on the head unit to select the desired band (XM1 or XM2) → FM1 → FM2 → XM1 → XM2 → AM1→AM2. Text information, such as the channel name, artist name/feature, and song/program title, is available witheach XM channel. The unit can display this text information as explained below."
