Well there is none. Those systems actually compliment the factory alarm. The factory alarm will still remain intact with the Viper791xv. You can put the Viper on valet, and use your factory alarm if you want. A good installer can do that for you.

I've had a remote starter on all of my cars except one and I've never had a problem. Now one thing I do suggest to do is upgrade your battery. I'm not sure what happened but on one of my cars my battery started going dead a few months after I installed my aftermarket alarm/starter. I also had stereo equipment in the car as well, but when I went to a performance battery I didnt have that problem anymore. I dont know what could have happened but I thought it may have been the alarm because everything was fine before.

Does the 06 GS have shock sensors for the glass? Does the stock system trigger if someone breaks the glass or jars the car?

That's a good question. I don't recall the manual mentioning much about the alarm system so I'm not sure.

On the first page of this thread, I attached a post by a fellow member that has an 06 GS430 in NYC that was broken into https://www.clublexus.com/forums/sho...01#post1685301 . He indicated nothing triggered

I saw that thread but I think they just messed with the lock and somehow was able to pick it. I don't think they broke any windows though. They must've known what they were doing to be able to tamper with the lock and unroll all the windows and open the moonroof. I keep my baby garaged all the time so it's not that huge of a concern for me, and I try not to take it out to shady places like Flushing unless I absolutely must.

Lol. If you parke buy Shea Stadium for 5 minutes, all you find when you come back is lint from your carpets on the street

You know I used to think the same thing about mine. It was always in the garage but I had to leave it outside my garage one night, mind you I live in a gated community, and it was broken into. I'm not trying to change you mind but I would just hate for you to become a victim.

I thought I would bump this considering the rash of vandalism & theft I've been reading on here as of late.
