Rear Deck

Rear Deck
I checked through the trunk and to my dismay, i found some speaker diaphram lying on the car body. I had 2 questions now.
1. Anyone know if the new Nakamichi speakers will fit in my 92 Sc400?
2. Is there any other way of removing the speaker cover from the back without taking out the seat????
I did read the DIY thing, and searched, but i was still wondering if there was any other way. Thank you.

You are stuck, but this is pretty easy. The rear seat has to come out. The lower cushion takes me about 10 seconds. Up and forward, done. The rear has three 12m bolts, out in 90 seconds, then jiggle loose the seat belt guide in the upper L/R corners. I am hard pressed to take more than 5 minutes to pull the upper cushion. The rear deck itself, well that's more time consuming. I bent mine out, not advisable, the board is flimsy and cracks they way it did it. Probably better to have removed the side like the big thread ( Speaker Install - "How-To" with TONS of pics!! SC3/400 ) here suggests.
