Default Stock headunit: Nakamichi vs Pioneer

i have a 94 SC400 with nakamichi system..... would a NON-nakamichi (im guessing its a pioneer) work on my car?

if not, whats the difference?

im kinda short in cash now and dont wanna upgrade it. so im keeping it OEM.

no radio sucks

It certainly would work but the speaker configuration is not designed for it so the sound might be off. But you need to check. I know it can be done because one of my friends did it but i am not sure whether or not it was plug and play.

I like the pioneer sound more than nakamichi to be honest with you.
