it does NOT void your warranty with the Eclipse unit. *this is coming from a warranty person at a custom car audio shop* All you have to do is ground the red wire with the white stripe and you're done. Simple as that. no lame toggle switch, no soldering, no high tech way to try to fool the system into thinking that you're not driving.

Just got off the phone with Eclipse Tech and the AVN units that support DVD-/+R will only play those that are burned movies not individual files.
