I really don't think MTX gets the respect they should-- I really don't think Xtant would just partner up with any company out there--

Do you guys see Pyle amps with cooling by Xtant ever happening???

The 60" sub was a one off sub built by Richard Clark and David Navone. The only association with MTX was the stickers (advertising) that MTX added to it. It used a servro motor instead of the traditional magnet/voice coil motor. From everything that I've read, it wasn't very sturdy and broke the first time it was pushed hard.

The MTX Jackhammer has been called a joke by a lot of the sub experts who have seen it. If I were going massive, I'd use more conventional subs like the Atomic 24, the Tsuzureko 25 or even the XXX 18". The XXX uses a split coil, low distortion motor and was at least partially designed by Scott Atwell. Hemp Acoustics has partnered with Adire Audio for a year now and the last I heard, the Tsuzureko was getting an XBL^2 motor and excursion into the 30mm range (like an Adire Tumult on steroids).
