99 GS 400 - Which cigarette lighter wire should i tap for remote turn on?
searched and searched the forums, tons of threads but none say which wire to tap...any ideas before i try this install?

Your best bet is to get yourself a 12V testing light and test out which wire is hot when the key is on ACC.

pink is positive remote and green is ground

Yeah just use a testlight and tap in from the fusebox. Connect the wire to the side of the fuse that does not read hot when the fuse is fulled.

Just take the wire to one end (thats exposed) and go see if your amps on. If not try the other one. That should help yah

Oh and use the cig lighter that is under the head unit - it is the easiest one to get to

why aren't you using the remote turn on wire from the headunit???
did I miss something?
If you tap the cigarette lighter wire, will your amp smoke???
